What is an Adult Family Home
Adult Family Homes are private homes licensed by the State of Washington to care for up to six (6) residents. They offer long-term “non-institutional” care for functionally disabled and frail elderly. They do this by providing warm, loving and personalized care in a family setting within residential areas of the community with caring arms.
Licensed home providers have the necessary training and experience to care for residents. In addition, providers and their staff have met a number of care giving requirements including First Aid and CPR training. Each Adult Family Home may have varying degrees of skills and background in health care such as CNAs, LPNs, NARs and RNs.
